About the team
Our Brand Marketing & Communications team is responsible for telling the story of how Klaviyo empowers businesses to own their growth and build direct relationships with their customers. The team is a high-impact group that works cross-functionally with key business stakeholders, touching every corner of the organization. A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, unique knack for creative brand building and clever problem solving, coupled with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, define this team.
Our Brand Social team sits within the Brand Marketing & Communications team and is responsible for the content strategy, content creation, community management, awareness-level boosting, and reporting of our social presence across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. We have more than doubled our social following in the past year and are excited to continue to create engaging social content that establishes Klaviyo as a thought leader in the email and sms space.
About the role
As a Social Media Manager Freelancer, you will be responsible for facilitating, implementing, and measuring all Brand Social content, while ensuring a consistent on-brand community experience with the larger goal of increasing followership and community engagement. You’ll report directly to our Sr. Social Media Manager and work closely with our in-house creative team, producers, and cross-functional stakeholders, with leadership support from our Director of Brand Marketing. This role is highly cross functional and collaborative, and will help to serve as the voice of Klaviyo to prospects and customers around the world.

Be responsible for shepherding our content creation through the in-house creative team, working hand in hand with our creative producer to ensure things are kept on schedule or flagged if delayed

Fully own the day to day post scheduling, and brand paid boosting

Tackle ongoing reporting. This includes month over month owned and earned social media metrics, identifying what content works/ doesn’t work, and content optimization recommendations.

Build strong relationships with our audience across social platforms by responding to messages, comments, and inquiries
What we’re looking for:

You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize demands in a fast-paced environment

You spend a lot of time on social media, and have a pulse on current social trends

You are adaptable, with a can-do spirit that defaults to optimism and ability to take direction well

Intermediate knowledge of social media management tools and general best practices

Experience and interest in paid social

3-5+ years of relevant social media experience or related internships

You take your work, but not yourself, seriously—and maintain a good sense of humor about both
Nice to have:

Experience working on both the agency side and in-house

Experience using Brandwatch, Falcon, and project management software

Experience with B2B social, preferably in the tech space
