Campus Sonar helps higher ed make changes on campus, measure what matters, and coach and educate stakeholders to build audience-centric strategies leveraging voice of customer insights via social listening. You’ll join the Client Services team alongside the Director of Client Services (that's me!), four Analysts, and two Strategists during a period of continued growth. I'm seeking to add a Strategist and an Analyst to my team.
Strategist: Remote, starts at $73,500, 12/27 application deadline, April 2023 target start date.
The Strategist is not only a relationship builder, but also an advocate, ally, and progress partner for our campus clients. You help identify where your clients want to be (or need to be) and help chart a path to get there. You provide a vision, support, resources, and expert insight to help bring your clients' experience with Campus Sonar to life and bring them closer to their campus goals.
Your closest internal partner is the Analyst, who helps execute your vision using social intelligence insights. You're comfortable coordinating and collaborating with client & internal team members, digesting and sharing complex info in a variety of ways, & leading with empathy.
You're responsible for client success as well as revenue generation activities, such as facilitating renewal and upsell conversations with your current clients. You know your clients current & future pain points/goals and propose value-add services and pricing as appropriate.

Analyst: Remote, starts at $69,000, 12/27 application deadline, April 2023 target start.
As a Analyst, you create social listening queries for your campus clients, and segment and analyze the online conversation you've collected. We train you on how to conduct social listening - but if you love puzzles, linguistics, and qualitative inquiry, this could be a good fit!
You analyze campus data not to report metrics, but to assess meaning. Alongside your closest internal partner, the Strategist, you identify key questions to ask and answer to help your campus partners make progress on their goals and make effective decisions.
You're not only an expert at cutting through the noise & finding what matters to your clients now, but you also have an eye for what could be important to them in the future to consider as a value-add to their continued partnership with Campus Sonar.
While you're mostly focused on analysis and insights work, you'll contribute regularly to client-facing conversations as needed. You're an expert at demystifying, humanizing, synthesizing and sharing complex info and qualitative data to derive insight & for others to take action.

About the Application Process
I require a cover letter, for two reasons. 1) If you have a non-traditional background for this role, your cover letter helps illustrate to me how you'll be successful, and 2) It serves as a writing sample, rather than requiring a separate writing exercise in the hiring process.
If you are a Black, brown, Asian, Hispanic, LGBTQ+, disabled, or other historically marginalized person and are wondering if this will work for you, please know that you will be safe and respected at Campus Sonar. I strongly encourage you to apply.
Campus Sonar Culture
We are a fully remote, U.S.-based team. We currently have 14 employees spanning the Central, Eastern, and Mountain time zones. We’re all at work from 10am-3pm CT; beyond that, you design your schedule. We have early risers and night owls on our team, and they each flex their hours to match when they work best. We try to create opportunities to get to know each other, and we meet together for a 3-day Sonarian Summit twice each year.
Our culture is human centered, grounded in trust and transparency, and focused on learning. We aspire to be an inclusive, equitable workplace. Here’s a summary of each culture characteristic; more detail can be provided in advanced stages of the hiring process.
Campus Sonar is human-centered. We understand that our workplace is composed of people, not machines. We care about each other’s well-being, including our mental health, wellness, and both personal and professional growth. As colleagues, we are friendly but we are not a family.
We believe trust is the foundation of all relationships, supported by truth & transparency. We tell each other the truth—including when we make mistakes—because we know our words will be heard and we’ll be shown grace & compassion. We do what we say we will and mean what we say.
Campus Sonar is a learning organization. We recognize that we are always becoming the next version of ourselves. We seek continual improvement at both an individual and organizational level. This includes clear career growth paths.
A startup that operates as a learning organization is in a near constant state of change. We try to balance the desire for consistency with the need to evolve and improve.
We aspire to be an inclusive, equitable workplace. At Campus Sonar, diversity is not a day, a training, or a plan. We want to model thoughtful, systemic ways to be inclusive and equitable for all employees and clients. We aim to be intentionally inclusive of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, ages, disabilities and health conditions, cultures, immigration statuses, neuro divergences, national origins, and family dynamics. All employees should feel safe, valued, and seen.
A Peek at Benefits
Although we’re a startup, we’re owned by a nonprofit parent company with 50+ years of history and offer an excellent benefit package. This includes 22 days PTO, 10 paid holidays, summer Fridays, 8 hours paid time off to volunteer.
We have comprehensive health insurance including some of the best dental insurance I’ve ever seen. We provide 8 weeks of paid parental leave for all new parents (after 1 yr of employment). We’ll triple your donations to eligible non-profits.
The company will match your 401K contributions up to 4%. Educational benefits up to $5,250/yr can be used for tuition/certificate reimbursement or student loan repayment—that's up to $437.50/month to student loans. $400 in wellness incentives each year.
These are summary points. See additional Benefit details listed on our parent company's website. There are others, like legal insurance.
