The Senior Analyst, Communications Analytics will serve as a strategic partner to the Global Communications and Corporate Brand team, the Corporate Affairs leadership team, and executive leaders by leveraging data and analytics to provide guidance and insights to inform communications strategy and business decisions.
The role will help to evolve the communications analytics function into a data-driven and strategic driver of the business. The role will partner in the development of programs and the definition of key performance indicators to support Viatris initiatives to determine effectiveness and efficiency. The role will develop data sets, models, metrics and analytics for corporate reputation, traditional & social media monitoring, internal channels, employee engagement and brand.
The role will also project manage various aspects of analytics program to ensure timely and thoughtful delivery of all outputs.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Support the development of the analytics approach and strategy, priorities for the organization; Equip key stakeholders with actionable insights based on analysis to support strategies, business plans, and tactics.
- Help define analytics thought-leadership, strategy, and approach to evolve to data-driven communications function.
- Work with Global Communications and Corporate Brand team to translate data into stories for assimilation and comprehension.
- Support real-time monitoring efforts, acting as primary Social Media analyst.
- Utilize tools and support from external partners to gauge impact of social media. Utilize tools and support from external partners (including social listening, SEO, and other brand reputation analytics) to complete scheduled and ad-hoc reports to gauge overall reputational impact.
- Support the development of consistent KPIs across the Corporate Affairs and Global Communications Corporate Brand team for all communications (internal and external).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align KPIs with overall strategies of each campaign.
- Set benchmarks and provide deep analytics to support future campaigns based on past learnings.
- Lead the delivery of ongoing measurement that ladders back to key priorities within editorial meetings. Ensure data integrity by performing manual audits on a regular basis.
- Own and manage the data architecture for all KPIs across Global Communications and Corporate Brand team.
- Project manage various aspects of reporting to ensure alignment of deliverables across internal team and external partners.
- Help shepherd new vendors through RFP process for reputational reporting processes / capabilities. Manage SOWs and contract renewals.
- Leverage analytics to generate insight and identify areas of opportunity. Track progress and traction of all analytics efforts.
- Serve as a collaborative partner to other communications/brand and commercial professionals globally.
- Lead the team in thinking proactively and strategically, leveraging external benchmarking and best practices to build a best-in-class Global Communications Corporate Brand organization with the resources we have.
- Promote and support Viatris’ commitment to high standards of corporate compliance, quality, safety and ethics, and live and model Viatris’ core values.
- Provide the intellectual leadership, perspective and experience to encourage creative and forward thinking around communications issues, continuous learning for all employees and energy to continue to grow and expand the business globally.
- Support the administration and use of department budget.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required with a specialization in Marketing, Communications, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science (or related fields) preferred. Master’s degree preferred. 3 to 5 years of Analytics experience required. Related experience and/or education may be considered.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Marketing/Communications required.
- Previous experience with Social Listening, Google Analytics, Paid Media Measurement & Analytics.
- This role has remote flexibility,
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English are required.
