Heads up! A few platform updates you need to know about this week: 👇

  • Meta just launched Muse, an AI image tool that can use public Instagram photos and posts by default. Yes, that means anyone can tag a public account and generate AI images using its likeness. To opt out: Settings → Sharing & Reuse → toggle off "Allow people to create with and reuse your content."
  • TikTok: turns out we have less control over the FYP than we thought. A Northwestern study found the "not interested" button reduces unwanted content by 84%, but only temporarily. Simply skipping cuts it by 48%.
  • Google Photos is rolling out an AI video remix tool that turns personal clips into stylized alternate versions. One to watch for content creators.
  • Substack expanded its community and analytics tools; paid readers can now access discounts, downloads, and live-session invites.
  • WeWard introduced walking mode; it blocks selected apps, including TikTok, until you hit your step goal.
  • DuckDuckGo claims its browser can now block most YouTube ads, including pre-roll and mid-roll.

Which one of these is affecting your workflow the most?
