Hello Everyone This article identifies and explains the most common reasons why certain metrics in Brandwatch might be different to those seen natively in platforms. Hey all, we’ve been speaking with peers and clients about EGC a lot recently, so we thought we would put out an article on it in case you were too. You can read it below. We’d love to hear any questions you might have on the topic too! Employee-Generated Content: The Marketing Channel You’re Probably Undervaluing. What is EGC?Employee-Generated Content (EGC) is exactly what it sounds like: content created and shared by your employees.Employees can share things that your brand’s own socials might not be able to. Think behind-the-scenes photos, real brand culture, and company wins (no matter how small). And most importantly, when shared by them, it’s more authentic and personal, and connects in ways brand channels simply can’t. Human to human. Why EGC?Employee content outperforms brand content (by a lot). Posts shared by employees get 561% more reach than brand channels alone. 76% of people trust it more than official corporate posts.Your employees aren’t just team members; they’re tru

I want to retrospectively have an influencer add their content to our campaign. Does anyone know how to just get the campaign code?I can get the invite link, but I can’t see what in the link!In my experience, the easier you make it for an influencer then the more likely you’ll get the outcome you want! I’d love to just send a code and a video showing them how to do this!

Hey everyone, Katie, Brandwatch’s Senior Social Media here with a big update from the world of social! Google can now index public Instagram posts and profiles. That means if your profile is public, your posts, reels, and feed content can show up in Google search results. In other words, your Instagram content is no longer limited to the platform; it can reach people who aren’t even on Instagram. This shift changes how brands and creators should think about their Instagram strategy. Why this matters Boost discoverability: New audiences can now find you organically through search. Extend content lifespan: Posts remain searchable long after the initial publish date. That reel you thought died in 48 hours? It might live on in search for months. Compete in a bigger pool: Instagram content is now side by side with blogs, e-commerce sites, and news outlets. SEO meets social: Keywords in captions, bios, and alt text have new weight. This update blurs the line between social strateg
